Sons of Warhol @ Ocean Beach Club, 23/8/2013

August 26, 2013

Sons of Warhol imageThis was the second outing of the season for Urban in Ibiza’s ‘Sons of Warhol’ street art exhibition, after the first one at Atzaro earlier in the month. The brainchild of organiser and art curator Paul Dizzi Saunders, Urban in Ibiza is now in its 5th year. Held all day from midday to midnight during the open-air pool party at the Ocean Beach Club in San Antonio, the event featured an exhibition of some of the art that was on view at Atzaro, a number of live painting sessions throughout the day and a boutique.

The exhibition included works by Schoony, My Dog Sighs, Adam Bricusse, Snik, John Tracey, K Guy, Hornsleth, Ben Allen, Chad Muska, Dan Kitchener (DANK), Banksy, Elmo Hood, Zeus, Fin Dac, Henry Hate, Inkie, Pure Evil, Chapter and Milo. The work was dotted around the venue, on walls, on beds and positioned strategically on easels. It was all available for sale and brought a different kind of visual stimulus to the venue.

Live painting sessions took place throughout the day by Bristol artist Inkie and Dan Kitchener aka Dank, and provided a fascinating opportunity to see how the artists construct their masterpieces.

The photos below give a taste of the event and some of the works on show.
